Welcome here, I'm Hannah! DIYing is my creative outlet and I've been DIYing in various forms for as long as I can remember. I especially love taking something that already exists and making into something that I love. When I was a kid I would turn cardboard boxes into an organizational system for my desk, or tailor clothing I thrifted to make it fit better or looks more my style. Since my husband and I bought our first home in 2020, it has been the ultimate DIY canvas. As soon as we got the keys (coincidentally on my birthday, the best gift ever!), I started dreaming and scheming about all that I wanted to do to make the house our home. I was quickly hit with the reality of how some home DIY projects can go, when I took on the tasks of retexturing the walls and ceilings. This honestly took almost a year to do. One of the first DIYs I learned as a homeowner was patching a hole in the wall, and it was truly such an empowering experience! And there have been many more since. Some of the DIYs I've learned are practical and necessary (such as stopping my bathtub tap from leaking) and some are functional (such as building a custom closet system), and some are purely aesthetic (such as retexturing the walls).
